Has anyone used inlay stickers and are they worth buying?

If you mean waterslide decals, I had a good experience with the ones I had printed by a company on eBay.

I had 30 printed (10 black, 10 white, 10 gold) on an A5 sheet for £12 or so. Application takes a bit of practice, I wasted a couple, but once it's on and there are no bubbles, you're good to go. I got a can of nitro and the edges were hidden in no time.

I may try to cut the logo out in shell next time and inlay it but if not, I've got plenty of these decals.

I think the OP is talking about the fret position marker stickers you can buy on eBay.
If that is the case, I don't think you will find anyone on this forum who has used them!

Use micro set and micro sol to apply stickers, that said the only time I tried putting a decal on a guitar, emblem for a commission build , after spraying em6000 , I could see the lacquer delaminating so.i sanded them off and told the client he would need to put any decals on top of the finish to be safe.......FYI

If you are simply talking about decals in general, I use a decal for my logo. It is a vinyl decal and the lacquer causes it to crinkle and pull up at the edges. In order to avoid that, I wipe it with a couple of coats of shellac which does not seem to affect it at all, then I spray lacquer over that. Here is a picture:
